There are certain that you need to fulfil in order to be able to claim unemployment benefits in Pennsylvania. The person should have worked in the last eighteen months within the state of Pennsylvania and should have resided within the state as well or the person should have lived in one of the bordering states but still worked in Pennsylvania for a period in excess of eighteen months or should have lived in Pennsylvania and worked in another state in the preceding eighteen months.

There are a number of useful websites that provide the necessary information including www.unemploymentoffice.net/State_resources/Pennsylvania.htm or www.dli.state.pa.us/landi/cwp/view.asp?a=159&Q=52118. The latter is the website address for the Pennsylvania Department of Labour and Industry. You may also choose to contact the department by telephone at 1-888-313-7284.
