What Is Horizontal Communication?

This is where information moves across on the same level between employees on the same level or between departments on the same level.  For example a reporter passes on information about an important event to another reporter in the same department.  This is communication between people on the same level.  The sales manager asking the production manager about the launch of a new product.

Its when the managers of the same level share ideas, suggestions and solutions to help bring the organization to a better level.

Communication process that is used to communicate with the same level of people in the organization as known as Horizontal communication.
