Explicit revenue is the revenue earned by a business or an individual which can be easily identified or stated. Generally, there are two types of revenues including explicit revenue and implicit revenue. Explicit revenue can be directly calculated by putting the formula of the product of price and quantity of goods. On the other hand, implicit revenue can be the increase in the value of the asset. Therefore, if a company earns an explicit revenue then it means that either the prices of the goods or the quantity demanded have increased. On the other hand, implicit revenue means that the company has earned the revenue not because of the price or quantity demanded but because of some other factor like increase in the value of the asset.
