If you do that you will be showing that you have very bad manners. It is not considered acceptable in polite society to ask for money instead of gifts. I realize that it is being done by some people, that still does not make it right.
How Do You Ask For Money Instead Of Gifts?
I would just casually say "Money would be so helpful now instead of gifts". They should pick up on that.
Why would you ask for money don't do that you'll hurt his feelings and thats just messed up
