when does financial year start and end in South Africa?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it varies by company. Each company would decide when their financial year would begin and end. Some companies will align their financial year end with the company they do the most business with, so their audits will hit about the same time.

The fiscal year for the South African government is 1 April - 31 March.
