Long term objectives are like goals, they represent a state where the company wants to be in the future but it is not possible to set out the strategies to get there right now. So the main difference between strategic, long term and short term objectives is that long term objectives are less tangible and quantifiable because of the longer time horizon. On the other hand the short term objectives can be considered to be like the incremental efforts that are taken by a person or firm to achieve the long term goals. They are much more quantifiable and easier to measure and their completion time is in the near future. Only when the short term and long term goals are in synergy, can the final goal be achieved. This means that longer term objectives are like goals while the short term objectives are ways to get there.

Short term objectives means, what the company is to achieve in month or moths. Long term objective is what the company is aiming for in the near future to come. I hope this is specific enough.
