A weak competitor who is in the same field of yours but far behind from you in a sense it will take a long time to come close to your position by strong competitors we mean a competitor who is very close to your business position or he has strong market position than you for an instance we can take the example of wholesale directory wholesale pages its strong competitors are alibaba, trade-key e-sources etc and its weak competitors are small wholesale portals

Basically in laymans terms a weak competitor is any business that is having trouble staying alive, barely making it and a strong competitor is doing very well competing against you and could even possibly buy you out
