The Barloworld bursary is available to a range of people, who follow a certain criteria:
• They must be studying towards a certain qualification from a list which will follow.
• They must be willing to study full time in further education in a Further Education and Training College (FET), an Agricultural College, a University or finally, a Technology University.
• They must have obtained at least a pass in all subjects from their examinations in the previous June tests.
• They must be children or dependants of those in employment with Barloworld or external candidates from South Africa.
• They must also be deemed as previously disadvantaged candidates. To find out if you fit this description, refer to the BBBEE codes.
The Barloworld Bursary works in conjunction with Barloworld's CA Internship in South Africa, which allows candidates to train to become prospective accountants and workers for Barloworld. The scheme helps both Barloworld and the South African financial climate, as in training up the young individuals; they are creating a better future workforce for the company and ensuring that more people get a decent income for their household.
If you wish to apply for the Barloworld bursary for the CA Internship, you must also be studying one of the following subjects at your time of application to be considered:
• Mechanics
• Mining
• Civil interests
• Marketing
• Information Technology
• Risk Management
• Sales
• Industry
• Engineering
• Agronomy
• Logistics
• Electrics
