The purpose of Critical Thinking is to ensure the object under consideration meets the specified goal for which it is being undertaken. Determining the ROI of a given article, advertisement, conversation and applicability + impact with regards to the target audience is key to a critical review. Does the profile of the audience match the style of message conveyed through that particular channel of communication would be the first aspect to analyze. Similarly there are various canonical models for each that need to be studied.
