I think that you could still wear one up to when you become around an a cup because then you probably need more support.
I am 13 and still wear one because I am only a 30aa but that is just my opinion. I have been wearing one since age 12 as I was flat up till then.

Depends on what size you are am a 34a and am 11 and wear both but padded bra are more comterble depend on what you like but if there like a 36a I think you should wear a paddedbra
