The Mortgage is a legal charge which stays on your Title Documents (Deeds) until it is paid off in full. You can take your partner off the Deeds but the Mortgage will then be your sole responsibility only and if you do not pay the Mortgage you would then lose your property . Your Partner must seek legal advice before coming off the Title Deeds (any lawyer would recommend this)
