Yes You Cn.  I have followed my husband from California to Nevada, to Texas and back to California...I got my unemployment each time cause I had to quit my jobs to follow him.  The longest I had to wait was 6 weeks.

It does depend on your state. I'm in California and I had to quit my job when my husband was transferred and I had no problem getting it while I looked for new work.

And I really wish the people who criticize those who have to do this would show a little decency. Questions like this are posed because some of us are just trying to do the best we can by our families - not because we want to sponge off government programs. Why are you so judgmental?

Absolutely not. You must be unemployed through no FAULT OF YOUR OWN to collect. If you quit, it is your fAULT.

Again, u r wrong. If a person quits their job, they must wait a period of 6months than they are eligable for unemployment.

Yes, you can. If your spouse gets a job out of state and you follow, you can get unemployment....however there is a longer waiting period so you need to get on it right away. MIne took 6 weeks before it started...but it did. I collected in Nevada, Texas and California...all for the same reason.

No.  That would be a choice you make to leave your employer.  You must lose your employment through no fault of your own in order to qualify for benefits.
