The private sector organizations are privately owned and not part of the government. This includes corporations and partnerships.  It is profit driven.  It serves those who purchase the products or services.  Non- profit organizations also fall in the private category.  Non-profits fund raise instead of sell.  Private oragare managed under the rules of the corporation and share holders.

The public sector organizations are owned and operated by the government. This includes federal, state, or city governments.  They are supported through taxes, and serve the general public.  They are managed by what's indicated by law.

public sector is the part of the economy concerned with providing government services. But on other hand, businesses and organizations that are not part of the public sector are part of private sectors.
