Technically you can put a car title in your name without a license, but only if you do not intend to use the car.

However, if you wish to drive the car then you will have to get it insured - something which cannot be done without a valid driving license.

If you are purchasing the car second-hand then the person who the car was assigned to will have to transfer the title over to you.

You will need a bill of the sale to transfer the title into your name.

  • So yes, you can transfer a vehicle title in your name without a license - but unfortunately you will not be able to drive the car.
  • When you want to start driving the car, you will have to obtain some motor insurance for the vehicle. Something which cannot be done without a valid driving license, sorry!
