To Enter Stock In Tally 7.2
- Press F2 on main screen to change current software date to 01.04.2017
- From main go to the Closing Stock (M>A>S)
- Press Alt+L at “Ledger” field and select either Stock In Hand or Closing Stock
- Put the value of Opening Stock as on 01.04.2017 at “Opening Stock” field
- Now come to the “Date” field of Sl No. 1 and type the year-end date 31.03.2018
- Put the value of Closing Stock as on 31.03.2017 at “Closing Stock” filed
- Press Alt+S to save the transaction.

1. If you want automatically update stock value in Trading a/c
Select Company features using ‘F11′ then set ‘Yes’ to Intergrate Accounts & Inventory
2. If you want manually enter the stock value Then
1. Create A Stock ledger and Select Group as “Stock in Hand”
2. Enter opening stock value
3. To enter closing stock value
Go to A/c Info -> Ledger->Alter->Select Stock ledger
-> First enter date of Closing stock in the Field ‘Closing Balance’ and
put the closing stock value
4. Now check Trading A/c - It shows the stock value you enter
