The answer to this question is that there isn't a place in the world that is 100% safe.

Every corner of the world has its risks and dangers, although certain places are commonly seen as more or less dangerous.

Safest places in the world

When looking for the safest place in the world, I would recommend taking into account as many factors as possible.

The threat of crime is one major factor that makes people feel unsafe. With news reports that constantly talk of spiraling crime rates, it's not surprising that this is a concern many people have.

Natural disasters are another major threat to humans, and of course warfare is a major made-made threat to safety.

If you're looking for a safe place to hide out, you may want to consider moving to one of the following:

  1. Fort Knox - Home of the US Bullion Depository, Fort Knox is protected by tanks, Apache helicopters, and armed guards.
  2. The Svalsgaard Doomsday Seed Vault - A vault deep under the ice of a Norwegian island that holds the seeds of all the crops needed to restart the planet in the case of an asteroid collision or a nuclear war.
  3. Bahnhof’s Underground Data Center - An old nuclear bunker in Sweden that now houses an internet service provider. The servers for the infamous Wikileaks website are found there.

Safest countries in the world

Iceland

is widely considered the safest country in the world. The country has no political enemies, and the people are happy and friendly.

The only thing you'll then need to watch out for is the occasional volcanic eruption. Other safe countries include: New Zealand, the Dutch ABC islands, Tuvalu, and Ireland.

Iceland has a 0% murder rate according to a couple of online sources. It also has an extremely low crime rate, so I suggest Iceland if you really want a safe place.

I don't think there is any 100% safe place in the world. Criminals seem to appear in every corner of the world. But if you are careful, like not going out alone at night, not going to some crime-frequent areas, not having dagerous friends, etc, you can make yourself relatively safe.

Japan was quite safe in my opinion. I didn't feel any sense of danger at all. The only bad thing really are the earthquakes...

Well there is a little bit of risk everywhere you go. No place is 100% secure, even if you have a landlord safety certificate....Lol
